Fryar's lot cleaned by Accomack County

And so it begins family. The transformation of the family burial ground is underway. A week ago, Accomack County, as part of its free Spring Clean-Up Program, cleaned 1 of the 4 lots (Fryar's home).

This past Monday, J&J Yardworks, a professional-landscaping company, evaluated the other three lots to determine what else is needed to get the family burial ground up to the standard that we all want.

Well, next weekend, the heavy lifting begins.

We will dole out $3,500 for professional landscaping services that will reverse seasons of neglecting to weed, prune shrubs, trim trees, remove wild growing plants, and pick up dropped branches from overhanging trees.

Debris, dirt piles, garbage, old fencing and broken concrete will also be removed from inside the cemetery's property lines.

The good news is that the family burial ground is on track to have a fresh look by the first of May.

About Me

self portrait 1_inPixio.jpg

I'm just one of the many descendants of Ardola Vicks who believes that our family has unlimited potential. While it's true that many of us live miles apart, we will forever have so much in common - ancestry, beliefs, etc.

Our mission, if we choose to accept it, is to identify and achieve as many common goals as possible. That is the spirit in which this blog was created.
