"When was the last time you physically laid eyes on the cemetery?”, the contractor from Anderson Fence Company asked me on Thursday morning, sounding disappointed. “I’m going to send you a couple of pictures”, he continued. “The place needs a lot of work before we can install a fence.”

Next week the Ardola Village conversation moves on to raising the funds to address this matter.

Attached are nine photos and a graphic drawing of our Family Burial Ground shared by a professional fencer, along with his handwritten notes on the side.

Today, our family burial ground needs some work. We now have an opportunity to honor the memories of our dearly departed parents, matriarch, spiritual family, kinfolk and ancestors. By donating our time, money, and resources, we can help renovate the grave site to the standard that their lives deserve. It is time for us to take action and give back to those who have given so much to us.

About Me

self portrait 1_inPixio.jpg

I'm just one of the many descendants of Ardola Vicks who believes that our family has unlimited potential. While it's true that many of us live miles apart, we will forever have so much in common - ancestry, beliefs, etc.

Our mission, if we choose to accept it, is to identify and achieve as many common goals as possible. That is the spirit in which this blog was created.
